Polar Pond Hockey

Polar Pond Hockey is one of the most sought after events taking place during the winter in Hay River, Northwest Territories. It is the NWT’s main pond hockey event and celebrates the end of winter – a time when days are longer and we can be on the ice later into the evening. Pond Hockey is comprised of a team of four players competing against another team of four players with no goal tenders. The game is played on a natural outdoor ice surface that is approximately 150 ft by 75 ft or 75% of a regulation ice surface.

In 2010, Polar Pond Hockey starts on March 19. See you there!
